Searching the International Real Estate market

October 31st, 2008 by acharron

With the US real estate market in the dumps, now is the time to start searching abroad for real estate opportunities.  Often the best deals lie in new upcoming previously undiscovered areas.  There is no doubt that in todays current economic condition there are some good deals to be had, and that’s why now is the time to invest in real estate.

One country that many have never thought of, that offers some of the very best real estate deals in the world is Nicaragua.  The country has changed dramatically in the last several years, and now offers First American Title Insurance.  Nicaragua real estate has been appreciating greatly over the last few years!  Being in close proximity to Panama and Costa Rica, Nicaragua is seen as the ugliest house on the nicest block!  Any experienced real estate investor quickly realizes that Nicaragua real estate currently offers great potential.

Don’t get caught up in the political nonsense.  Retirees are coming to Nicaragua, and if you arrive prior to the rest of them, you will be the one to see the great appreciations.  The market in Nicaragua is like that of early Mexico, Costa Rica or Panama.  Sure, if you want more established, maybe look elsewhere, but if you are looking for returns (which most of us are) with prices as low as they are in Nicaragua, there is no better place to invest.

Here’s a great little blurb about the baseball great, Cal Ripken Jr. traveling this month to do volunteer work in Nicaragua:

The U.S. State Department says baseball great Cal Ripken, Jr., will visit Nicaragua in mid-November in his role as an American public diplomacy envoy.

A statement issued Wednesday says Ripken will make the five-day trip with Nicaraguan native Dennis Martinez, who played with Ripken for the Baltimore Orioles.

During the trip, Ripken and his group will visit Managua, Leon and Granada. They will be involved in helping instruct more than 100 youth coaches and 500 Nicaraguan children on the game.

Nicaragua also now ranks as the second safest country in the western hemisphere, second to only Canada.  This was recently sited in an article in Forbes.  So, get your move on, and get down to Nicaragua.  Property prices are low, and the times are good!  Nicaragua represents the best deals in the world right now!
